ABOUT THE TEACHER
I have been teaching piano to children and adults in Gloucester, MA since 1998. Prior to teaching piano, I taught kindergarten and preschool in Philadelphia and here on Cape Ann for approximately 15 years. I am currently teaching piano lessons in my home in Gloucester, MA.
Background: I was born into a musical family where singing and instrumental music were a common occurrence. My first official introduction to music was the clarinet, which I played fervently for 9 years, eventually teaching the instrument to younger students. At age 16 I began playing the piano in a self-taught fashion. As an adult, I trained privately under Jocelyn Chaparro in Gloucester, MA in order to professionalize my playing and to receive teacher-training.
